The Cape Town Science Centre is excited to present online masterclasses for Grade 11 learners during Term 1, 2 and 3 of the academic year.
These classes have improved the marks of many underperforming learners and have helped the top-achievers attain mastery of their subjects. The Masterclasses help to prepare learners for their forthcoming exams by enhancing their core content knowledge, developing essential skills, and providing strategies for tackling complex exam problems. Each session includes in-depth summary revision of theory, practice problems, and step-by-step revision of previous exam questions. This is an opportunity you donโt want to miss!
Overview of the Grade 11 Masterclasses:
- Masterclasses are virtual, held over Microsoft Teams (the link to the sessions will be sent out to registered participants) and are freely available to all Grade 11s.
- The live virtual Masterclasses will take place on select afternoons (see table below for schedule of topics, times, and dates).
- Each Masterclass will be 1 hour and will focus on a single topic from the syllabus.
- Learners will be able to engage with presenters during the live virtual sessions and ask questions.
- Each live lesson is paired with a complimentary electronic learner booklet, which can be used during the live lessons. The booklet contains summary notes of the lesson itself and will be sent out along with the session link to registered participants.

When learners register for the masterclasses, they will immediately receive a confirmation message which contains the link to a dedicated WhatsApp group. Participants are encouraged to join the group for updates.
