Electricity is one of the most important forms of energy known to man! In South Africa we have  load shedding where electricity is taken from us for a period of time to reduce the electricity usage. Everything around us is made of particles known as protons, neutrons and electrons. The movement of these particles, mainly protons and electrons, causes what we know as electricity!

Join us at the Cape Town Science Centre on Saturdays during March and April for hands-on workshops and interactive demonstrations highlighting different forms of electricity such as renewable energy, electrostatics and electromagnets!

OPENING HOURS*: Monday – Saturday, 9:00 – 16:30
*Kindly note that the CTSC is closed on Sundays.

ENTRY FEES: Youth (3-18) – R80, Adult – R80, Pensioner – R40
