Shark Spotters is a pioneering shark attack mitigation program in Cape Town that improves beach safety and contributes directly to white shark conservation through active management and applied research. Sarah Waries is the project manager of the City of Cape Town’s acclaimed Shark Spotters program. Her role involves the management, coordination and development of this registered Non-Profit Organisation that aims to find a balance recreational water user safety and white shark conservation in Cape Town.
