MINI ONLINE FESTIVAL OF SCIENCE

10 - 21 August

Online Festival of Science

WHAT’S UP NEXT? The Cape Town Science Centre’s MINI ONLINE SCIENCE FESTIVAL for curious kids and busy parents from 10 to 21 August. We have hours of edutainment lined up for you!

Our programme features VIRTUAL VISITS to the science centre, which consists of an exploration of an exhibit, fun science demos and hands-on-workshops (we will send you a list of goodies to prepare for your live online session).

BUT WAIT! THAT’S NOT ALL… Who remembers our sold-out SCIENCE SHOWS from the marvellous Australian Dr Graham Walker? Well now is your chance to catch Dr Walker’s incredible science shows LIVE! Dr Walker, is donating his time to help the Cape Town Science Centre sustain itself while visits to the centre are paused. Thank you Dr Walker… we promise you a great Bobotie (his favourite local delicacy) when you get back to Cape Town!

We also have evening talks suitable for families on LIVING ON MARS (by the dynamic Dr Adriana Marais) and THE FUNNY SIDE OF SCIENCE (by the knowledgeable Prof. Mike Bruton).

After all, science is carried out by people, many of whom are odd, absentminded and eccentric.
