Millet Mania Open Day – Saturday 9 December 2023 – FREE ENTRY
Did you know that 2023 is the International Year of Millets, as declared by the United Nations General Assembly?
According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Year Of Millets is “an opportunity to raise awareness of, and direct policy attention to the nutritional and health benefits of millets, and their suitability for cultivation under adverse and changing climatic conditions. The Year will also promote the sustainable production of millets, while highlighting their potential to provide new sustainable market opportunities for producers and consumers.”
You can look forward to a fun, educational day of millet themed workshops and demonstrations, a science show, tours and a new exhibit!
