LET’S MARCH – Be part of a peaceful, non-partisan, celebration of science march on Earth Day
Date: Saturday, 22 April 2017
Time: 10:30 – 12:30
Venue: Start point, Observatory Swimming Pool (Willow Road, Observatory)
End point, Cape Town Science Centre (370B Main Road, Observatory)
Length of March: 1.5km (suitable for the whole family)
10:30 – Assemble at the Observatory Swimming Pool on Willow Road, Observatory
11:00 – START MARCHING!
Please bring fun signs with positive messages related to the benefits of embracing science/science learning, wear science-related clothing or wear green
11:30 – 12:30 – Speeches outside the Cape Town Science Centre
* The first 200 people who attend the March for Science starting at the Observatory Swimming Pool will receive FREE entry to the Cape Town Science Centre on 22 April 2017 following the march.
