Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22, on which day events worldwide are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970, and is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network and celebrated in more than 193 countries each year.

ACTIVITIES:
Jellyfish in a Bottle – Make a jellyfish and see it swim while discovering the dangers of pollution and why it is important to keep the ocean clean and pollution free.
Build a Terrarium – You can be fancy and call it a terrarium but in simple terms it is a garden in a bottle. Make your own garden in a bottle to take home and see how it grows.
Demo: Van de Graaf Generator – Discover how lightning works and find out why it is so important in maintaining nitrogen in our soil – a shocking experience!
Demo: Water Filtration – Discover what water filtration is all about in a simple homemade water filtration system.
Demo: Pollutant catcher – Our noses are adapted to tiny particles of air pollutants. See exactly how this works with a simple demonstration of a pollutant catcher.
